Mullins, Martinez, and Giuliani

Current mood: cynical

Dear New Mexicans,

Tom Mullins was at a Rio Rancho Tea Party rally last night. About 50+ attended. Enthusiasm was high, the meeting well organized. Tom is still strong and determined. He is said to be within 4 to 5 points of Lujan.

Tom Mullins is, in my opinion, an unprincipled eqivocating slanderer and libeler.

IF Mullins tops Lujan in the general election . . .

Considering the demographics of the district and the comments that Mullins has made after getting the GOP nomination (joking about landmines on the southern border, “there weren’t too many white faces” at the Kewa Pueblo ceremony), that’s a BIG “IF.”

But IF that were to happen, the Third District would have just as good a representative as the First had with Heather Wilson.

I’d like Mullins to list for New Mexican voters TEN (10) existing federal spending programs that, as a Congressman, he will sponsor repeals of within a week of being seated in Congress.

Richard T. (sorry, I didn’t write down his full name) told us about the RRTP plan for the next 27 days to get out the vote. It’s so well thought out, so purposeful and practical, I was riveted. This plan is going to bowl Lujan out of office. I hope to be able to take part in it.

The plan’s originators have decided to share their idea with other TPs as a blueprint for success. Well done, RRTP.

Ah, but look at who this plan will replace Lujan with. Utterly repulsive.

Far better to leave Lujan in office than replace him with Mullins. Better an up-front enemy than a backstabber professing friendship.

When Mullins first come out from under his rock as a challenger to Adam Kokesh, one of Adam’s supporters drafted a document titled “Tom Mullins – Ben Ray Lujan’s Best Friend.”[1]. When Adam heard about it, he quashed it immediately, as he wanted to run a clean, issues-based campaign. Adam was rewarded for this with a smear campaign on the part of Mullins:

Blowback Comes Home to New Mexico / GOT ADAM!

Other info:

1. Latest polls on Martinez/Denish race has Martinez 6 pts ahead of Denish. This was confirmed on 3 different networks. That’s a strong win-win signal for the NM GOP slate.

For me, Martinez comes across as a Tom Mullins in a skirt, with a bit of an “off-switch,” in that she is more guarded in her comments.

As for principles, I have just as much faith and confidence in her as I do in Tom Mullins.

3. Tom Mullins will be debating Lujan on PBS—Channel 5 here in ABQ. That’s KNME. Set for Sunday, Oct. 10. Call the station for time our area. Tom will be at the Tanoan Forum.

Let’s see – he’s joked about planting landmines along the southern border. He’s complained about the lack of “white faces” at a Kewa Pueblo ceremony that he was invited to attend.

Who will he offend next? The black population? Asians? Jews?

Does he even realize what he’s doing when he makes these sorts of comments?

I suspect that he could complain about my comments – he’s got every right as a Tourette’s-American to make these sorts of comments.

4. Re Jon Barela’s race: Former mayor of NYC and former presidential candidate Rudy Guiliani will be coming to ABQ on Sunday October 12 to support Jon’s efforts. I will be getting location and time, today after lunch. I’ll try to send to you.

Ewww. Ugh.

After reading that paragraph, I feel like I need a shower. Or better yet, a full HAZMAT scrubdown.

This is Rudy-poo Giuliani we’re talking about here – the same Rudy-poo who, prior to running for president in 2008, never met a restriction on gun owners he didn’t like.

This is the same Rudy-poo who said in 1993:

“We look upon authority too often and focus over and over again, for thirty or forty or fifty years, as if there is something wrong with authority. We see only the oppressive side of authority. Maybe it comes out of our history and our background. What we don’t see is that freedom is not a concept in which people can do anything they want, be anything they can be. Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do.”
– Rudy Giuliani, The New York Times, 20 March 1994

More goodies at

Will Rudy-poo show up at the Jon Barela fundraiser wearing his prom dress?

Will Donald Trump show up and shove his face in Rudy-poo’s cleavage?

A Republican Party that embraces Rudy-poo Giuliani is NOT a Republican Party that I can support.

– Motley Crue, “Primal Scream”

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”
