“No One Wants To Take Your Guns,” v. 06-22-2022

Filed under: memes, Politics, Principles, Resistance, Self-Defense — Tags: , , , , , — mikewb1971 @ 8:06 PM

Last year (Tuesday, 8 June 2021), one “MikeWrites” said that when hoplophobes and victim disarmers say that they don’t want to “take your guns” (forciby disarm you), that he isn’t in that crowd, and that he DOES want to take your guns.

H/T Larry Correia — Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 1:41 PM MST

Some notes and thoughts about this post —

The post in question (Tuesday, 8 June 2021) has apparently been deleted.

Mr. “MikeWrites” styles himself as a writer, yet apparently won’t post his real name. It’s understandable to not use your full name when explicitly stating that you’re willing to use deadly force to deprive others of liberty and property in order to have your momentary warm fuzzy that you “made a difference” and “got something done.”

What “MikeWrites” DOES do is post profilicly on Twitter (the first four letters of “Twitter” describe him to a tee).

It’s also apparent that “MikeWrites” hasn’t read “2nd Amendment and the Kool-aid Drinkers” by CSM Paul Howe (U.S. Army (Retired))

Basically, CSM Howe was an “assaulter” with the “Delta Force” (1st Special Forces, Operational Detachment Delta). His 8-to-5, Monday-to-Friday occupation was dynamic-entry and close-quarter combat — when he wasn’t training for such operations, he was either on actual ops or training others to run such ops.

In “2nd Amendment and the Kool Aid Drinkers,” CSM Howe makes the case that enforcing firearms confiscation on a large scale will be a fools’ errand at best, and a bloodbath at worst, with the disarmament crowd’s enforcers suffering significant casualties. And that’s for people who train for this sort of thing as their day job.

Chances are that when “MikeWrites” says he’s OK with uncooperative gun owners being killed en masse in the name of victim disarmament, he’s not willing to “stack up” and do the wet work himself. He’ll be wanting to schluff the getting hands dirty part off onto law enforcement.

You see, “stacking up” and getting shot at by those us unwilling to surrender liberty and property upon the demand of “MikeWrites” for his warm fuzzy of the day — well, that just might get in the way of “MikeWrites” posting pictures of his dinner plates to Twitter.

It’s also a good bet that “MikeWrites” was on board with the calls to “defund the police” in 2020, in response to the murder of George Floyd.

So he wants the people he expects to get shot at for his pet cause (victim disarmament) to do so, but without all of the weapons and ammo that they will insist on having for the task?

In short, Mr. “MikeWrites,” it’s time for you and yours to shit or get off the pot.

“Stack up” or shut up, “MikeWrites” !

Quote of the Day for Thursday, 23 June 2022

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family?

Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? . . . The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!

If . . . if . . . We didn’t love freedom enough. And even more — we had no awareness of the real situation . . . . We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

“But wait, there’s more!” as the televised pitchmen say.

Those same hoplophobe and victim disarmers who demand that you surrender your AR-15- and your AK-47-style rifles so that they can have their momentary “warm fuzzy” that they “got something done” and “made a difference” — their sock puppets in the New York State Legislature want New Yorkers that aren’t Political Classholes or in the service of same to surrender any privately-owned body armor in their possession:

Heemeyer Muffler Repair
Poster’s location not shared ⋅ June 4, 2019

June 4th, 2019 marks the 15th anniversary of the Killdozer’s rampage through Granby, Colorado.

Sit down kids, and let me tell you a tale. A tale about a reasonable man driven to do unreasonable things.

Marvin Heemeyer was a man who owned a muffler shop in Granby, Colorado. The city council ordained to approve the construction of a concrete factory in the lot across from Marvin’s shop. In the process, this blocked the only access road to the muffler shop. Marvin petitioned to stop the construction to no avail. He petitioned to construct a new access road, and even bought the heavy machinery to do so himself. Denied.

The concrete factory went up in disregard to the ramifications on Marvin’s business. To add insult to injury, the factory construction disconnected the muffler shop from the city sewage lines. An indifferent city government then chose to fine Marvin for this.

His business and livelihood were in ruin. Rather than lie down and die, Marvin chose to fight back. Over the course of a year and a half, Marvin secretly outfitted the bulldozer he bought to save his business with 3-foot thick steel and concrete armor, camera systems, and enclosed bulletproof glass.

On June 4th, 2004 Marvin Heemeyer lowered the armored shell over top of himself, entombing himself inside the Killdozer to make his last stand.

He burst forth from the walls of his muffler shop and straight into the concrete factory that ruined his business. Over the course of the next several hours, Marvin drove his Killdozer through 13 buildings owned by those officials that had wronged him, including the city council building itself.

SWAT teams swarmed the dozer, but it proved immune to small arms fire and even explosives. Another piece of heavy machinery was even brought out to fight the Killdozer, but it too fell to the dozers righteous fury.

In the end, Marvin’s Killdozer became trapped in one of the buildings it was built to destroy. Marvin chose to take his life, the only life he took that day.

Today, we celebrate Killdozer Day and Marvin Heemeyer, the last great American folk hero. A man driven to the brink who chose to fight back against an indifferent system.

From notes left behind after his passing:

“I was always willing to be reasonable until I had to be unreasonable. Sometimes reasonable men must do unreasonable things.”

HAPPY KILLDOZER DAY!

Naturally, we can’t forget Mike McNulty’s Waco: The Rules of Engagement[1]

— and McNulty’s follow-up film, Waco: A New Revelation[2]

Today we remember that on Monday, 19 April 1993, the Clinton Administration was so concerned about child welfare that they were willing to kill 27 kids by asphyxiation, incineration, and automatic-weapons fire to get at three adults accused of tax and paperwork violations.

The only “problem” with this meme is that the rifle held by Jesus (the FN SCAR) will set you back 3,000, while a decent AR-15 / M4-pattern rifle can be purchased for under ∅1,000 MSRP.

Which leaves you free to spend that other ∅2,000 on ammo and training.

How’s this for a theory: the never-before-tried, never-before-recommended lockdown program flat-out doesn’t work.

Steve Sisolak, governor of Nevada, recently scolded citizens of his state. Why, only irresponsible behavior can account for a rise in “cases” there!

So he’s telling Nevadans that they have two weeks to get things under control.

He warned, “I’m not going to come back in two weeks and say I’m going to give you another chance.”

And then, three days later, Governor Sisolak himself tested positive for COVID-19.

Should we treat him like he’s 7 and scold him for his irresponsible behavior, the way he just did to his citizens?

The governor was forced to admit: “You can take all the precautions that are possible and you can still contract the virus. I don’t know how I got it.”

As Alex Berenson says, virus gonna virus.

The current state of lockdown “science” appears to be: we have no idea what we’re doing, but if something brings people pleasure we should probably limit or prohibit it, and if something causes great inconvenience or even pain, we should probably do that.

An anonymous professor who posts on Twitter about the virus just presented this graph for our consideration. It’s a plot of COVID deaths in North Carolina and Oklahoma. Those states have adopted very different approaches to the virus. And yet, somehow, they more or less track each other anyway; the graph is in the comments. [Reposted below — MWB]

Virus gonna virus.

Yesterday former Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, who has tested positive, posted the following:

“I so appreciate everyone’s good wishes!

“How did we catch it? I don’t know. We wore masks. We socially distanced. We avoided crowds. We haven’t had people in our house.”

Virus gonna virus.

We can either accept this, and take steps to protect those among us who are most at risk while others resume the one life they are given, or we can destroy our social fabric.

Meanwhile, we have families and friendships being torn apart over all this. You’re a bad person if you reject the propaganda. Why, you don’t care about saving lives! You’re “selfish”!

Never mind the countless lives lost by lockdown itself, a point I’ve made again and again. Those lives don’t seem to count for some reason. Link to my post “Death by Lockdown” also in the comments.

[Letter to ABQ City Council] Please OPPOSE O-19-82 AND O-19-83

Subject: Please OPPOSE O-19-82 AND O-19-83

Dear Councilors:

I am writing to you in order to speak up against two pieces of proposed legislation scheduled to come before the Council today, O-19-82 and O-19-83.

Ordinance O-19-82 will attempt to mandate secure storage of firearms.

Ordinance O-19-83 seeks to create a city ordinance out of Keller’s questionable order banning firearms on city owned or leased properties.

Both ordinances would violate the Constitution of the State of New Mexico, Article II, Section 6, which states:

No law shall abridge the right of the citizen to keep and bear arms for security and defense, for lawful hunting and recreational use and for other lawful purposes, but nothing herein shall be held to permit the carrying of concealed weapons. No municipality or county shall regulate, in any way, an incident of the right to keep and bear arms.

A recent attempt to pass a non-binding resolution to repeal this seciton of the state Constitution failed in the council 5-4.

Let’s make no mistake about it these proposed ordinances are in no way, shape or form about “gun safety” or “gun control”.

True gun safety and gun control stem from the four safety rules, the seven fundamentals of marksmanship, and knowing what is and is not a legitimate target.

If the people backing “Everytown for Gun Safety” truly care about firearms safety, then why aren’t they chipping in towards firearms safety training, as does the group they list as their archnemesis, the National Rifle Association?

If Michael Bloomberg and the other multi-millionaires behind “Everytown for Gun Safety” truly cared about gun safety, they would put their millions behind the construction of MORE shooting ranges, and the maintenance of existing ones. They would chip in for the creation of DVDs and online video shows that provide instruction on the safe and proficient handling of firearms.

Instead, all they do is lobby and agitate for more restrictive laws upon the pre-existing civil, Constitutional, human individual right to own and carry weapons, as supposed to be guaranteed by the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, and Article II, Section 6 of the Constitution of the State of New Mexico.

Rather, the legislation in question (O-19-82 and O-19-83) is more properly called “victim disarmament,” in that the people most likely to be affected by it are the people who have the most reason to own and carry firearms for self-defense — the little old lady or the paraplegic who lives alone in a bad neighborhood, the five-foot-nothing 100-pound woman being stalked by a six-foot 200-pound deranged ex-boyfriend.

The bad people (the criminals, terrorists, and violence-inclined mental defectives) whom the proponents of this legislation say will be disarmed by it most likely will not be affected in the least. If they want access to a firearm, they will have it, by hook or by crook.

You see, the bad guys have found this massive loophole in the existing restrictions on private civilians’ rights to own and carry weapons called “breaking the law.”

There are already 20,000 to 25,000 existing restrictions upon the pre-existing individual, civil, Constitutional, human right to own and carry weapons, which are supposed to be guaranteed against State infringement by the Second Amendment and Article 2, Section 6 of the State Constitution. None of these anti-liberty statutes has stopped a bad guy from obtaining a firearm when they want it.

Laws already exist that prohibit felons, domestic abusers, foreign terrorists, incurable drug abusers and alcoholics, and mental defectives from obtaining, owning or carrying firearms.

Laws already exist that prohibit the use of firearms (and other objects) to harm other people (murder, assault with a deadly weapon, etc.).

I think it’s safe to say that all these laws have done is keep honest people honest, the same way locks on doors do.

Those who propose further infringements upon individual liberty aren’t truly looking to improve the human condition at all, but seeking more power over others for whatever reasons. No good will come from these infringements — no good has ever come from these sorts of laws, and no good ever will.

As for the phrase “gun violence” —

Why are not criminal stabbings or slashings with knives ever referred to as “knife violence” ?

Why are hit and run murders done with cars or trucks never called “automotive violence” ?

Why are attacks using baseball bats, pry bars, hammers and pieces of steel rebar never referred to as “blunt object violence” ?

Look, no one is trying to take your government away. We just want to have an honest, open, adult conversation about common-sense restrictions on government. If we can save just one child from government violence, it will be worth it.
