“No One Wants To Take Your Guns,” v. 06-22-2022

Filed under: memes, Politics, Principles, Resistance, Self-Defense — Tags: , , , , , — mikewb1971 @ 8:06 PM

Last year (Tuesday, 8 June 2021), one “MikeWrites” said that when hoplophobes and victim disarmers say that they don’t want to “take your guns” (forciby disarm you), that he isn’t in that crowd, and that he DOES want to take your guns.

H/T Larry Correia — Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 1:41 PM MST

Some notes and thoughts about this post —

The post in question (Tuesday, 8 June 2021) has apparently been deleted.

Mr. “MikeWrites” styles himself as a writer, yet apparently won’t post his real name. It’s understandable to not use your full name when explicitly stating that you’re willing to use deadly force to deprive others of liberty and property in order to have your momentary warm fuzzy that you “made a difference” and “got something done.”

What “MikeWrites” DOES do is post profilicly on Twitter (the first four letters of “Twitter” describe him to a tee).

It’s also apparent that “MikeWrites” hasn’t read “2nd Amendment and the Kool-aid Drinkers” by CSM Paul Howe (U.S. Army (Retired))

Basically, CSM Howe was an “assaulter” with the “Delta Force” (1st Special Forces, Operational Detachment Delta). His 8-to-5, Monday-to-Friday occupation was dynamic-entry and close-quarter combat — when he wasn’t training for such operations, he was either on actual ops or training others to run such ops.

In “2nd Amendment and the Kool Aid Drinkers,” CSM Howe makes the case that enforcing firearms confiscation on a large scale will be a fools’ errand at best, and a bloodbath at worst, with the disarmament crowd’s enforcers suffering significant casualties. And that’s for people who train for this sort of thing as their day job.

Chances are that when “MikeWrites” says he’s OK with uncooperative gun owners being killed en masse in the name of victim disarmament, he’s not willing to “stack up” and do the wet work himself. He’ll be wanting to schluff the getting hands dirty part off onto law enforcement.

You see, “stacking up” and getting shot at by those us unwilling to surrender liberty and property upon the demand of “MikeWrites” for his warm fuzzy of the day — well, that just might get in the way of “MikeWrites” posting pictures of his dinner plates to Twitter.

It’s also a good bet that “MikeWrites” was on board with the calls to “defund the police” in 2020, in response to the murder of George Floyd.

So he wants the people he expects to get shot at for his pet cause (victim disarmament) to do so, but without all of the weapons and ammo that they will insist on having for the task?

In short, Mr. “MikeWrites,” it’s time for you and yours to shit or get off the pot.

“Stack up” or shut up, “MikeWrites” !

Lindsey Graham’s 30 Pieces of Silver, v. 2022?

It seems that Lindsey Graham, the “senior” Republican U.S. Senator from South Carolina, is getting his just rewards for supporting “common sense gun safety” legislation, namely “an agreement on principle for gun safety legislation Sunday, which includes ‘needed mental health resources, improves school safety and support for students, and helps ensure dangerous criminals and those who are adjudicated as mentally ill can’t purchase weapons.'”

Aside from the fact that Graham won’t be up for re-election until 2026 (four years is almost an eternity where electoral politics is concerned), it seems that his recent “move to the center” in his quest to appease the hoplophobes and victim disarmers isn’t quite reaping the rewards he wants (the hoplophobes and victim disarmers saying good things about him) —

H/T Steven Barnes — Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 1:33 PM MST

You see, instead of congratulating Graham for “moving to the center” and “meeting them halfway,” the hoplophobes and victim disarmers are pissed at him for only giving them half a loaf, instead of the whole loaf and then some, such as outlawing civilian ownership of “assault weapons” such as AR-15-, M4- and AK-47-pattern rifles, and legalizing third-party litigation against gun manufacturers and retailers

So while Graham may get some accolades from the Necrotic Republican Association National Rifle Association for his pro-gun-when-it’s-convenient rhetoric, I suspect that he won’t get much traction with the rest of the right-to-own-and-carry-weapons crowd [GOA, FPC, etc.].

Ain’t that a cryin’ shame, now?

As they say in the South, “Bless your heart, Lindsey Graham.”

Heemeyer Muffler Repair
Poster’s location not shared ⋅ June 4, 2019

June 4th, 2019 marks the 15th anniversary of the Killdozer’s rampage through Granby, Colorado.

Sit down kids, and let me tell you a tale. A tale about a reasonable man driven to do unreasonable things.

Marvin Heemeyer was a man who owned a muffler shop in Granby, Colorado. The city council ordained to approve the construction of a concrete factory in the lot across from Marvin’s shop. In the process, this blocked the only access road to the muffler shop. Marvin petitioned to stop the construction to no avail. He petitioned to construct a new access road, and even bought the heavy machinery to do so himself. Denied.

The concrete factory went up in disregard to the ramifications on Marvin’s business. To add insult to injury, the factory construction disconnected the muffler shop from the city sewage lines. An indifferent city government then chose to fine Marvin for this.

His business and livelihood were in ruin. Rather than lie down and die, Marvin chose to fight back. Over the course of a year and a half, Marvin secretly outfitted the bulldozer he bought to save his business with 3-foot thick steel and concrete armor, camera systems, and enclosed bulletproof glass.

On June 4th, 2004 Marvin Heemeyer lowered the armored shell over top of himself, entombing himself inside the Killdozer to make his last stand.

He burst forth from the walls of his muffler shop and straight into the concrete factory that ruined his business. Over the course of the next several hours, Marvin drove his Killdozer through 13 buildings owned by those officials that had wronged him, including the city council building itself.

SWAT teams swarmed the dozer, but it proved immune to small arms fire and even explosives. Another piece of heavy machinery was even brought out to fight the Killdozer, but it too fell to the dozers righteous fury.

In the end, Marvin’s Killdozer became trapped in one of the buildings it was built to destroy. Marvin chose to take his life, the only life he took that day.

Today, we celebrate Killdozer Day and Marvin Heemeyer, the last great American folk hero. A man driven to the brink who chose to fight back against an indifferent system.

From notes left behind after his passing:

“I was always willing to be reasonable until I had to be unreasonable. Sometimes reasonable men must do unreasonable things.”

HAPPY KILLDOZER DAY!

Naturally, we can’t forget Mike McNulty’s Waco: The Rules of Engagement[1]

— and McNulty’s follow-up film, Waco: A New Revelation[2]

Today we remember that on Monday, 19 April 1993, the Clinton Administration was so concerned about child welfare that they were willing to kill 27 kids by asphyxiation, incineration, and automatic-weapons fire to get at three adults accused of tax and paperwork violations.

One-sided Shootout at Coronado Mall!

Filed under: Politics, Principles, Reading, Self-Defense — Tags: , , , , , , , , — mikewb1971 @ 9:08 PM

More “gun violence” at an Albuquerque mall on Thursday, 31 March 2022, as reported by the Albuquerque Journal, and reposted by the Journal to Facebook[1]

Five teens accused of beating at Coronado Center, by Matthew Reisen, Journal Staff Writer by Matthew Reisen, Journal Staff Writer

At least this time, no one seems to have been injured or killed as a result of shots fired.

Meanwhile, there have been several firearm-related homicides (involving shots fired at the victims) at other locations around Albuquerque — in the Downtown area, for example.

“Rbj Benjamin” posted a comment

Where’s our concealed carriers when you need them?

To which I replied

Concealed carry is not permitted on the property, per Coronado Center policy.

Blame Coronado for this one with their “No weapons allowed on site” policy, not concealed-carriers for their “failure” to be first responders to this incident.

And then there’s my follow-up comment

So when Ross and Morales were allegedly pistol-whipping the Fuddruckers employees, should that be considered “gun violence” (firearm(s) were involved) or “blunt-object violence” (no shots were fired at that time) ?

ONCE AGAIN, we see just how “effective” this sort of “No weapons allowed” policy is (it is NOT effective, for those too dense to understand sarcasm) in stopping firearm-related crime.

As for the “gun free” status of Coronado (and Winrock, Cottonwood, etc.), if someone is injured or killed by a criminal there, and that injury or death could have been prevented had the victim been armed, I hope the victim or their survivor(s) sue the property owners into non-existence.

Something not yet brought up: Ross and Morales are both under the age of 21. This means their mere possession of handguns was a federal offense. ANOTHER failure of the victim disarmament statutes.

Apparently, I made a mistake — per 18 U.S.C. § 922(x)(2)[2], Ross was legal in possessing a handgun.

Still, Ross’ alleged pistol-whipping of the Fuddruckers staff was definitely NOT legal, and would probably constitute battery, if not aggravated battery

30-3-4. Battery.

Battery is the unlawful, intentional touching or application of force to the person of another, when done in a rude, insolent or angry manner.

Whoever commits battery is guilty of a petty misdemeanor.

30-3-5. Aggravated battery.

  1. Aggravated battery consists of the unlawful touching or application of force to the person of another with intent to injure that person or another.
  2. Whoever commits aggravated battery, inflicting an injury to the person which is not likely to cause death or great bodily harm, but does cause painful temporary disfigurement or temporary loss or impairment of the functions of any member or organ of the body, is guilty of a misdemeanor.
  3. Whoever commits aggravated battery inflicting great bodily harm or does so with a deadly weapon or does so in any manner whereby great bodily harm or death can be inflicted is guilty of a third degree felony.

What’s the takeaway here?

The lessons to be learned from this incident are as follows:

FIRST, victim disarmament edicts, whether they are in the form of public-sector statutes and regulations, or a private-sector “NO WEAPONS ALLOWED” policy, don’t do much of anything to deter violent criminals from committing crimes.

If anything, they do the exact opposite — they make it easier for the criminals to victimize others.

Think of them as a sort of “workplace safety” code for the bad guys, making what are supposed to be “safe spaces” for shoppers and tourists into a  happy hunting ground for the crooks.

As the saying goes, “When seconds count, the cops are minutes away.”

But . . . but . . . what about the “NO WEAPONS ALLOWED” sign? Surely, those intent on committing assault, battery, robbery, burglary, and possibly murder will see that sign, and then leave their guns in the car, right?

Well, you see, the criminal element always seems to find that massive loophole in all of the various victim-disarmament schemes called “breaking the law.”

If they’re willing to kill you over pocket change, what makes you think that they’re going to obey your hoplophobic prohibitionary edicts?

As the saying goes, “When seconds count, the cops are minutes away.”

And the reality of it all is this: You are your own best defender. Sure, you can contract the task out to someone else, but that person wants to go home to their family, too. That person will put their own personal safety above yours, if it comes down to it.

What is “Spaceport America” but a Political Classhole Slush-Fund?

Facebook always yields instances of the Political Classholes getting caught with their pants down and their hands in the cookie jar —

    Peter St. Cyr
    Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 10:32 AM

An Independent audit confirms serious operational and management problems at Spaceport America. I repeatedly told embattled Director Dan Hicks he could not write his own public records law. This facility was constructed with taxpayer money and needs to be transparent to avoid these kinds of problems in the future. Click to read the report here: https://osa-app.org/uploads/2020/66dacc30-9870-49f4-874a-f4b26d09aaa6/Spaceport Authority – Investigation of Complaint Final Report.pdf

And what exactly has been launched from “Spaceport America” besides a few suborbital flights?

Wasn’t Virgin Galactic the “anchor tenant” for whom Reichsgovernor Richardson built this particular elephante blanco?

From SpaceNews — Virgin Galactic declares Spaceport America ready for SpaceShipTwo, by Jeff Foust, 15 August 2019 —

Virgin Galactic didn’t give a date for when it expects SpaceShipTwo to arrive at the spaceport — WhiteKnightTwo will return to Mojave to fly it to New Mexico — but that when it arrives the company will start with a couple of glide flights to test those upgraded flight controls and to get familiar with the airspace.

Once those are done, “we’ll be ready for rocket-powered flights,” he said. While there is no set number of powered test flights planned before SpaceShipTwo is ready for commercial operations, Moses noted there are currently eight hybrid rocket motors stockpiled at the spaceport.

Two other SpaceShipTwo vehicles are under construction in Mojave. Moses said the first of those two should be ready to begin flight tests in 2020.

At this rate, will Virgin Galactic be ready to launch anything by 2120?

Considering Virgin Galactic’s pre-COVID glacial pace of operations where “Spaceport America” is concerned, on top of the Beer Bug-inspired shutdown mania, it’s probably safe to say that 2020 is a write-off at this point.

    But there’s always 2021, right?

Go ahead and feel free to make that bet.

But hey, at least “Spaceport America” has a nice new lounge that Governess Chipmunk can use to host one of her COVID-non-compliant parties

For what it’s worth, that State Auditor’s report that St. Cyr linked to above is great fun, if you get your kicks by reading about some of the ways that the Political Classholes have fun at our expense.

Bernalillo County DA Raul Torrez, Idiot or Liar?

In light of the past six months, I think that it’s rather obvious that Bernalillo County District Attorney Raúl Torrez is functioning as a rhetorical sock puppet for the Big Victim Disarmament machine, with the hands of George Soros and Michael Bloomberg up his rear making his lips move —

Sock puppets — which one is Raúl Torrez?

On Monday, 10 June 2019, the Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office posted a bit of idiocy or fearmongering on Facebook —

    Monday, 10 June 2019 at 1:16 PM

An Albuquerque teen arrested for selling the deadly drug fentanyl and military grade weapons on social media now being prosecuted federally.

Here are some photos from that post, with my own commentary in red.

    Kid with FRNs fanned

Here El Chapo Jr shows off the fruits of his alleged business activities.

    Oh, my — pills!

Beretta 92 type pistol with magazines

Yes, the M9 was and is patterned after the Beretta 92 series of pistols. That’s because Fabbrica d’Armi Pietro Beretta introduced it into the U.S. Armed Forces’ trials to replace the M1911, and the M9 was selected in 1985 as the winner of those trials.

Never mind that the Beretta 92 series has been available on the American civilian market since it was first made available by Beretta in 1975. And also disregard the non-Beretta clones of the Model 92 series available to American civilians — the Taurus PT-92, for example.

Similarly, there have been numerous civilian clones of the M1911 available on the American market for decades.

And recently, the SIG Sauer P320 was adopted as the U.S. military’s M17, with a civilian version of the M17 (“SIG Sauer P320 M17”) being offered by SIG Sauer.

And of course there’s the Glock, which gained notoriety after being adopted by the Austrian military and police as their service pistol in 1982, and has been subsequently adopted by quite a few other military and law enforcement agencies. (Disclaimer — I own two (2) Glocks myself, a G17 and a G22)

But wait, there’s more! (Apologies to Billy Mays and Anthony Sullivan) — Torrez & Co. want us to follow them deeper down their taxpayer-subsidized, Bloomberg- and Soros-directed rathole and swim with them in their sewer of hoplophobic insanity and idiocy: here’s more “evidence” of “military grade” “assault weapons” “on the street” —

Pic from behind AR-15 pistol (blurry)

My request for clear, in-focus pictures, of course, appears to have gone unheeded.

AR-15 pistol with drum mag in car (dated Wednesday, 5 June)

Here’s a picture from the related press conference, dated Wednesday, 5 June 2019 at 12:28 PM

Of course, the Albuquerque Journal added its no-charge PR help reporting (the KRQE “News” “team” was also complicit) of Torrez’s rhetorical regurgitation —

“Make no mistake about it, this young man had in his possession a weapon of war,” Torrez stated. The AR-15 pistol is small enough to be concealed on a person’s body and can be fired with just one hand.

But “seriously” (as if these idiots and liars should actually be taken seriously?!) — “weapon of war” ?

Maybe Torrez mistook the AR-15 pistol pictured here for an M231 Firing Point Weapon[1] . . . ?

Maybe the next item on El Chapo Jr’s shopping list was a Bradley Fighting Vehicle of some sort?

But seriously (for real, this time) —

What military or law-enforcement agency actually uses AR-15 pistols as pictured above?

Why would they use such neutered knock-offs when they can get AR-15-pattern weapons with similar-length barrels (this one appears to be about 10 inches) AND attached shoulder stocks (suppressors, too!) without having to fill out any Form 4s or pay the 200-per-weapon transfer tax.

That’s what the AR-15 pistols with exposed buffer tubes like that are — neutered knock-offs.

They’re marketed to those who want an AR-15 with a barrel shorter than 16 inches without having to complete a Form 4, pay the transfer tax, get fingerprinted and photographed, then wait six months to a year wondering if their federal weapon permit will be approved.

What Torrez and his fellow Political Classholes need is a reminder that the Founders wanted America’s private-sector civilians to have actual weapons of war in their personal possession, as opposed to neutered knock-offs —

The power of the sword, say the minority . . . , is in the hands of Congress. My friends and countrymen, it is not so, for The powers of the sword are in the hands of the yeomanry of America from sixteen to sixty. The militia of these free commonwealths, entitled and accustomed to their arms, when compared with any possible army, must be tremendous and irresistible. Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man against his own bosom. Congress has no power to disarm the militia. Their swords and every terrible implement of the soldier are the birthright of Americans.
Tench Coxe, Letter to the Pennsylvania Gazette, 20 February 1788

What Torrez and others of his ilk either forget or willfully disregard is that the Founders wanted America’s civilian population to have at least military parity with, if not supremacy over, the federal government, and probably the state governments, as well.

What is the specific war that we need such military weapons for, exactly?

Why, it’s the perpetual war for human freedom, of course.
